&lt;p&gt;This research applies DarkBERT — a language model pre-trained on dark web corpora — to the problem of adversarial simulation, with the goal of better understanding how illicit marketplace actors and criminal hacking communities communicate, negotiate, and operate. Rather than treating threat actor behavior as an abstraction, this project uses the model&amp;rsquo;s learned representations to inform more realistic threat actor emulation in red team engagements.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The core premise: red team tradecraft is only as convincing as its grounding in real adversarial behavior. By studying how DarkBERT represents illicit market dynamics, negotiation patterns, and criminal hacking discourse, this work aims to translate those patterns into simulation frameworks that produce more authentic adversary emulation during offensive security operations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Adversarial Simulation Framework:&lt;/strong&gt; Building a structured approach for using language-model-derived insights to strengthen the realism and fidelity of red team tradecraft, distinct from purely technical TTP replication.&lt;/li&gt;
